Q- WHY DO I NEED A PERSONAL TRAINER?

A- There are many reasons people use a personal trainer, but mainly it is because you will get results. You will have a structured programme to follow, someone to be accountable to and a regular session booked in the diary so you will more likely to do your "homework" in between sessions.

Q- DO WE START EXERCISING DURING THE FIRST SESSION?

A- Before we start moving your body we need to do a simple assessment, checking blood pressure, weight etc as well as posture and flexibility. We will also set out some clear goals and objectives and an action plan to follow in order to achieve them.

Q- DO I NEED TO BE FIT OR HAVE EXERCISED BEFORE?

A- Not at all which is why using a personal trainer is great for beginners. We will work progressively through a suitable programme to increase your fitness so that you are challenged but not put off exercise by overdoing it at the start.

Q- DO I NEED TO BELONG TO A GYM?

A- Not necessarily as you can come to train with me in the gym without having to join the club. I will set you exercise and activities to do on your own whether it's at home, outdoors, classes or at your own gym so that you keep up a regular programme between our one to one sessions. We can also train at your home, work or even better outdoors if it's dry.

Q- WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A- Whatever you are comfortable in so that you can move freely and not get too hot. You will also need to wear some kind of training shoe and we can discuss this in more detail once you start your programme. You should always bring along a small bottle of water too as you will need to drink regularly.

Q- HOW MUCH ARE ONE TO ONE SESSIONS?

Prices per hour start at £37 depending on location. Discounts available for block bookings.

Q- CAN I TRAIN WITH MY FRIEND TO SHARE THE COST?

A- Yes it is possible to do small group sessions with your friends or family but we would have to take any medical conditions or injuries into consideration to ensure everyone gets a good workout.
